A man with a big heart

Hernando, was the first artisan we met when we started this project, and even though at that moment we didn’t know each other in person, we understood that dreams and friendship are much stronger than a physical connection. When we finally traveled to Putumayo and met him, he and his family were so welcoming that we felt immediately at home, our hearts were filled with gratitude.  

We admire him so much and we are so blessed to find him on my journey, not only because he is a great artisan, who does amazing beaded work and teach this art to others,  but also because through his art he has taught us that life is about giving, spread love and joy, and being empathetic.
